I love sweets – who doesn’t!? Brownies are rich and delicious and help curb the sweet tooth that I will get every now and again. I honestly don’t eat chocolate and sweets near as much as I used to, but I do enjoy a good brownie every now and again.
Today was one of those sweet tooth craving days. And what better way to curb that sweet tooth than to make a warm brownie. I hate having a plate or pan of goodies in my house. I’m not too good at resisting them, so I try my best not to keep those things around. Now, when I have a craving, I turn to a simple one minute microwave mug brownie!
I’ve been wanting to share this with you all for some time now, but it’s usually dark when I make them and not the best photo taking lighting. I’d much prefer to take pictures during the day under the skylight in my kitchen!
- 4 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Mix all above ingredients together in a microwave safe mug/cup.
- Microwave on high 1 minute.
You’ll notice in my pictures that I didn’t use a mug specifically. The mugs I have are black for the most part so it makes it hard to see the brownie. Another quick pointer for this one, some microwaves aren’t as powerful as others. I have noticed that my microwave is one of those that isn’t powerful at all, so I zapped my brownie for one minute and thirty seconds.
This is such a quick and easy recipe that will be sure to knock your sweet tooth away.
